Hi! Let’s Be Friends.
This isn’t just what I photograph, it’s how I was raised.
I’m Alena, a portrait and livestock photographer in Jamestown, Ohio, who’s always been drawn to the kind of life I now get to photograph. I officially started photography in 2019, but my love for this way of life started long before on my family’s farm.
That’s where I learned to notice the little things. Not just the big moments, but the in-between ones that make farm life and its rustic charm feel homey. The way families connect, the rhythm of everyday life, and everything that comes with raising a family in this kind of environment.
Whether it’s the vibrant energy of summer or the rich colors of fall, I’ve always been drawn to capturing the feeling and new life that each season brings.
My photography is a mix of what I love most: nature, farm life, and getting to watch families grow year after year.
And honestly, I couldn’t do a lot of this without my dad and my husband. They’re the ones helping with the studio and jumping in on all the random ideas I come up with after scrolling Pinterest late at night.
Off the clock, you’ll find me…
Enjoying my steaming cup of coffee in the morning and my crisp Mcds Coke.
If there were an award for watching reruns of Grey’s Anatomy I’d probably win lol!
My perfect ending to a day includes backporch sunsets, carry-out, cows grazing, and a good adult beverage in my hand.
If I’m not home or out on a session, you can probably find me wandering around the farm, hiking, and simply enjoying time outdoors or convincing my husband we need to go to Texas Roadhouse, or Mexican for a date night!
Nothing about the current season of your life will feel out of place to me.
From calming newborns, chasing toddlers, to being in the fields with the livestock, I’m used to working in the same environments you’re living in every day.
Things don’t have to be perfect or go exactly as planned. The moments that carry your legacy and honor the roots you are nurturing happen in the unexpected, and that’s where I get to capture the real and raw interactions that fill your days.
Because the honest work you put in raising your family, building up your community, and creating a life you love shouldn’t go unnoticed.
